The purpose of the Elderly Nutrition Program is to reduce hunger and food insecurity, to promote socialization of older individuals, & to promote the health and well-being of older individuals. Everyone age 60 or older is welcome to participate and all participants receive nutrition education and counseling.
The Elderly Nutrition Program is funded by Federal Older Americans Act dollars, state grants, and by participant donations. Participant donations provide 1/3 of the nutrition program budget. Our active ADRC-CW Nutrition Advisory Council meets quarterly to discuss things related to the nutrition program, capture feedback from consumers/family members, and allow consumers the opportunity to be part of future program planning.
